MIKE ROSS, THE
POLITICIAN
by Kermit C. Moss
Mercy me, sakes alive, and carrot coffee!
What can we and what should we do about Mike Ross, who now says that he will
fight any healthcare bill that has a public option! Does he mean the handling
of another part of healthcare law the same way that we do Social Security,
Medicare and Medicaid; or in other areas, the same as we do in the military, our
schools, law and order, road and bridge building and so on?
It seems here that we need the public option to cover those citizens who don’t want the close friends of Mike Ross, the insurance companies and their paid lobbyists to have charge of any part of providing their healthcare needs!
In an article in today’s Arkansas Democrat-Gazette by Alex Daniels it is noted that back in July, Ross voted for a bill that included a public option; but during the recent recess he came back and checked with his constituents and found that “they do not want the government interfering with their health care”.
The opinion here is that he came back to the district and checked with his main campaign contributors, the insurance companies, their lobbyists, and assorted other wealthy individuals, and, of course, found that they were against the public option!
What can we do? Election day is coming!
Lay on MacDuff!
