Readers are cordially invited to contribute letters for publication expressing views and opinions on current public issues.

Although contributors will be given as much latitude as possible in expressing their views, certain rules of policy are necessary.

All letters must be signed with the correct mailing address given. Also, writers must include a telephone number where the writer can be reached during daytime hours if a question arises on verification.

Letters must be in good taste and free of libel and are subject to editing for space. Letters should be on issues and not on personalities.

Copies of letters addressed to others, "open'' letters and letters mechanically reproduced or carbon copies will not be considered for publication.
